Dear colleagues!
In 2009 Russia will open the doors to the XXIX Congress of the International Union of Game Biologists (IUGB). The Congress will take place in Moscow.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the IUGB Congress and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation I’m pleased to invite scientists and experts, wildlife biologists, representatives of government authorities, educational institutions, social unions and associations of countries — possessors of wildlife resources to take part in the IUGB congress — 2009.

Each of us is fully aware of the inevitable consequence of irrational and careless use of biological resources in one individual game-preserve or region that lead to disappearance of rare wild animal species and reduction of biological variety on our planet. World experience of wildlife management clearly shows us that sustainable use of wildlife resources is the most effective method of their preservation. Therefore the main subject of the congress is «Wildlife management is one of the most significant ways of wildlife preservation».

Nowadays it is very important to introduce and apply innovation technologies and world scientific achievements for careful use of wildlife resources. According to our practice the format of the Congress allows to participants to exchange and generalize their scientific experience, to make conclusions and discuss prospects of development of this branch in separate country as well as on a global scale.

Moreover the Congress is a good opportunity to establish new business contacts and deepen old friendship as well.
