Dear colleagues!
I greet all participants of the Congress on behalf of the International Organizing Committee of the XXIX IUGB Congress and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The unique vast natural areas of Russia host a variety of game animals. This country has habitats of rare and endangered species of wild fauna many of which are not found anywhere else in the world. Thanks to the active efforts of hunting specialists, researchers, government officials, this biodiversity is successfully maintained and increased. This is an international concern, not a unique Russia’s task. Russia is ready for cooperation with all stakeholders in the issues of conservation, reproduction and use of game animals.

I’m sure that the organization of IUGB Congress in this country will promote the elaboration of scientifically based methods for support and rational use of game resources, development of theory and practice of research hunting.

I wish you a fruitful discussion and a good partnership at the XXIX Congress in Moscow.
