The State Tretyakov Art Gallery
The history of the Tretyakov Art Gallery began more than 150 years ago. It was Moscow merchant and patron of art Paul Tretyakov who decided to collect works of art. He purchased on his own means works of famous Russian painters and bequeathed to create a museum on their basis. Nowadays visitors of Gallery can see a big number of works of Russian painters and sculptors of the 18th-20th centuries, a big collection of pieces of Old Russian art, drawings in its halls. «Treasury» contains works of applied art, miniatures, icons in jewel frameworks.

Kuskovo Park and Estate
Kuskovo Estate, a unique aristocratic country house with original interiors to match its glorious facades, goes back to the 18th century. It was used as a summer home of Counts Sheremetev. Counts’ family intended this estate to numerous receptions, crowded dramatize performances, holidays and parties. Among 20 architectural monuments kept on this territory the Palace, the Grotto, pretty Italian, Dutch and Swiss Cottages, Blank's Hermitage and the old Orangery, the Church can be mentioned. The regular French Park with its marble sculpture, ponds and original pavilions is one of the most outstanding sights in Kuskovo Estate.
